Since
1994, ministry and social outreach have been combined in various
projects to meet the specific needs of the community which have
resulted in the vision and objectives of Sethani.
|
|
Community outreach
started in a small way with a basic soup kitchen and feeding scheme
for the people in KwaNgcolosi, in the Valley of a Thousand Hills, a
semi-rural tribal area of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

The orphan outreach
project began with 16 orphans and destitute families referred by one
of the primary schools in KwaNgcolosi. This has now grown to over 500 children being
directly supported with school fees, school uniforms, stationery and food
parcels, impacting over 3000 people directly and the community as a
whole. |

SETHANI is a community-based
organisation structured as a Section 21 Company (not for gain).
